What's it about?:
Carolina or "Nine" is a senior in High School. As she enters the new school year, she gains a new English teacher. His name is Mr. Mann. And the minute she sees him she sort of falls in love with him. Mr. Mann and Nine start to have a budding friendship that soon turns into a loving relationship. Right when everything starts to get great Mr. Mann or Richard as Nine now calls him, puts a stop to everything, and about a week letter there's a wedding announcement in the paper with his name on it followed by his soon to be wife's name, Alicia. Nine goes absolutely crazy, trying to figure out why he did this to her, why he lied to her and how Richard and Alicia's relationship came about. Nine pulls a lot of funny yet ridiculous stunts, the last of which causes her to almost lose the best friend that she had been pushing away for so long because she didn't want him to desert her because of the silly mistake she had made. Upon finding out though, Shuyler(Nine's best friend) doesn't desert her, he helps her to heal and helps her to get back at Mr. Mann. Which they do, but not without getting themselves into a very scary situation. All turns out well though and in the end everyone is happy.

Was it good?:
Amazing. I loved it R.A. Nelson is a great author. Nine was a great person in the beginning. I loved how well her depression was written and how Nelson described her downfall and how Mr. Mann truly affected her, it was both heart-wrenchingly sad and a shocker. I recommend this to everyone. =].

What's it about?:
Janie Hannagan has a very interesting secret, though to her its more of a burden of a secret than it is interesting. Janie gets sucked into peoples dreams if they fall asleep within a 20 foot radius of her. In each of these dreams, the dreamer asks her for help. She doesn't understand why they always ask her for help, she doesn't even know how to help them. It's when an old woman named Martha Stubin dies in the old folks home, that Janie works in that she sort of figures out how she can and that she can; And with the help of an unexpected aqcuaintence and new found love intrest, Cabel Strummheller (who's nightmare she's been sucked into too many times) she gets even more help on semi-controlling her weird power. Her budding relationship with Cabel is a big roller coaster of emotions as she sees his dreams, and helps him to change his dream like she did with everyone else.

Was it Good?:
It was THE best. It's my new favorite book. I read it without stopping in less than a day. This book is honestly amazing and the character of Cabel Strummheller is so very easy to fall in love with.=]. This story is so unique, i've never read another book like it and that says a lot because i read ALL THE TIME. Lisa McMann is amazing with words. She has a great series on her hands and I cannot, CANNOT wait for the next book in the series, Fade.

Take Me There-Susane Colasanti

Photobucket

What's It About?:
Take Me There is about three New York teenagers. Rhiannon, Nicole and James. James is in love with Rhiannon, and Rhiannon is in love with her ex-boyfriend, Steve, who abruptly decided they would be better off as friends. Nicole is sort of in love with her teacher but also in love with her ex boyfriend who she broke up with because she doesn't like her boyfriends to become too attached to her. Take Me there is told in alternating points of view from all three characters. Its the story of taking the one Mean Girl that everyone hates down, and the great things that happen along the way.

Was It Good?:
Better. It was amazing. I have a small obsession with it. almost like Twilight, like I plan on going to the Bakery that Rhiannon and James go to all the time. Its just an amazing book, and i love everything about it. Susane Colasanti is an amazing author.
